The picture is much improved on blu-ray and the sound quality is excellent. I judge most sound by hearing the high frequency instruments: cymbals, snare, accoustic guitar. Much better than I what I remember. Favorite tune is "Freedom" by Ritchie Havens at the beginning of the music played live. Thrilling to hear it in the improved sound. Several of my favorite groups performed at Woodstock so I wanted to own the video. It is a good historical piece. The blu-ray is great. I was a bit disappointed that not all of the performances were included. But if you want to remember Woodstock and not spend a lot of money on the special sets and editions, this is the DVD to get.
