I think that in all fairness if inception didn’t come out last year the kings speech would be the best movie

i’d give this 4.4/5.0. i agree collin firth is gonna win best actor even though i want franco to win. i also think that MAYBE, just MAYBE that g.rush could beat christian bale for supporting actor.

This movie meant a lot to me because I have stuttered since the 3rd or 4th grade. I agree his stutter/stammer felt really real. i have had to give speeches throughout school and it was a bitch to do. The tension of the movie when he was about to give speeches felt really real. I have had many speech therapists in my life and they all have done pretty much absolutely nothing for me. I wish I had a therapist who cared as much as the one in the movie lol. Excellent movie in my opinion

yep he put it in there ;-)

You see a film like this, or like THE QUEEN, and you are reminded that so many of the British actors are classically trained. Those folks can ACT!!! Sadly, we have former TV actors who never seem able to rise above that level, yet we accept it. Then they go back to “guest star” in some episode of a current show and expect an Emmy.

    Another solid review, guys.

  19. Wes964 says:

I went back — You definitely said “Collin Beef”. :P

  20. IslandReservoir says:

Really want to get a chance to see this movie, even if that means waiting till it comes out on blu ray

  21. DjHamHam411 says:

Oops I meant to say now not know! I hope I don’t have an eye disease! Otherwise I can’t see this movie! 8)

  22. DjHamHam411 says:

I remember when my sister stuttered when she was eight. But know she is in forensics and taking public speaking in college. I’m so proud of her :,)

  23. Andywarski says:

great review.I actually have a stutter but I make vids got a big following and do stand up comedy around toronto. I had a speech therapist as well. I might watch this because I’d relate to it.

  24. grindhouse141 says:

It was a good movie but I think it’s way overrated. I mean everyone was great but it just wasn’t compelling, to me at least. I’d go 3 / 5.

PS. Colin Firth will win best actor, that’s a lock just like every other category, but his main competition is not James Franco, it’s Jesse Eisenberg. As far as the other categories are concerned? I’ll save everyone 4 hours:

Best Picture will go to Social Network
    Director: Fincher
    Actress: Portman
    Supp. Actor: Bale
    Supp. Actress: Weaver or Leo

    Hey Now
