  1. I did not buy this and I have no idea why I have it on my review list.

  2. S4 had been the most depressive season in SPN history. And with the brother split, I really had my doubts about S5. After all, how much more depressing can it get? Turns out, ALOT more.

S5 would’ve been a so-so season if it hadn’t been for once again brilliant performances from Jared and Jensen. With the release of Luci and the on-going divide of Sam and Dean, it seemed like all hope was lost. Rest assured, it is not. By the end of the season, they showed the fans that there is still love going on with the brothers and hopefully, more to come with S6.

But I warn you, for all those that are new to show, S4 and 5 are the seasons that test you. And if you’re still watching them, you deserve a gold star.

I would say the only positive thing to come from S5 was Castiel. I love human castiel, I love how he explodes and I love how he went from being wood paste to a character filled with much more emotional range who always keeps us laughing.

As for Bobby, don’t look for alot of happiness there either. But is he walking so who knows.

The Sam we know is currently dead again {he did come back but we have no idea as what} and Dean has the family he always wanted with Lisa and Ben. We don’t know what’s going to happen next year, but I hope it’s something good.

Oh and Bobby is walking now.

SPN is by far the best show on tv that is still overlooked and no matter what it’s characters have gone through, is still pushing the envelope and still going strong.

lol, hey if you don’t want spoilers, don’t read reviews for a show that’s been on for 5 years.

The Fifth Season of Supernatural COULD have been great, SHOULD have been great and WOULD have been great but instead it all felt like one big disappointment. It was like the writers come up with this great idea for a season arc, the Apocalypse and they either completely forget about it or really had no clue what they were doing in the first place.

As for the finale, well, let’s just say I have read better fanfic than we what got. Everything that was built over last season and what we learned in this season in the end amounted to absolutely nothing and was completely retconned.

Adding Misha Collins to the cast as Castiel was a stroke of genius as he added some new blood to the series. However, I feel like his potential as a character was underused as he came off more as a guest star rather than a part of the main cast. While he did have some good eps. “Point Of No Return” being one of my personal favorites, I just felt like his character overall was not used to his full potential.

While there were some eps. that I really enjoyed like “Hammer of the Gods”, “Changing Channels” and “The Song Remains The Same”, the season as a whole lacked the dramatic tension and suspense that I was expecting. Perhaps I had my expectations set too high after that cliffhanger ending of the fourth season but in the end I can’t help but feel disappointed in what I got.

This was the season of the supposedly big pay off. This was the season where Kripke’s Supernatural story reached its dramatic end.
Although renewed for a sixth season, Kripke’s apocolyptic showdown came to a conclusion with possibly the show’s weakest season to date.
The main villian of the piece, Lucifer, had roughly no more than 30 minutes air-time in total out of a 800 minute season mired down in irrelevent filler.
Kripke’s vision of a final battle between Lucifer & Michael in the possessed body’s of Sam & Dean was laughably bad and left many fans shaking their heads in disbelief at the con job Kripke pulled on them.
Instead of lauding his final work, he has left a legacy of good riddance that he’s gone.
And it is such a shame that a brilliant season 4 will be forgotten in wake of the tepid fifth season when the wheels fell off the old Impala in spectacular fashion.
Hopefully the new showrunners can make us forget this disappointing final outing for Kripke.
