This is pathetic, repulsive gore that was not the least bit scary to me. Film makers in this country have lost sight as to what constitutes horror. We are far behind the rest of the world where this film concept is concerned. <br /> <br />This garbage is made for one reason only; kids shell up money and think this is entertainment. This film is boring, dull, gruesome, cruel and extremely depressing. When I was younger I remember leaving theaters after some of the great horror movies of the day laughing from the good fright experience those movies provided. This is not the case anymore. Blood, blood, blood and more blood combined with the sickest ways imaginable to torture and kill people is NOT entertainment, it is NOT horror. It is trash. <br /> <br />The first Saw was...eh...ok. The second was purely stupid. The third one is pure garbage. Thankfully I haven't had to shell over one red cent to see any of these pieces of junk. But three is my limit. I will not subject myself to parts 4, 5, 6 and however many they will make to sucker the movie going public in the future. This is what you get when you have no standards and no expectations. Are the American movie going public, young and old, so properly dumbed down and willing to give up their money for putrid garbage such as this? Sadly, yes. What a tragic shame. <br /> <br />0 stars. The 2nd movie was way over hyped (I mean seriously; were those people retarded?) & the only thing that saved it was the twist ending that even still seemed forced. This 3rd movie though is dead in the water. I watched the whole movie waiting for something, anything that might make this newest installment worthy of being put to film... nope. This one introduces plot points that conflict with the last 2 movies, & this movies forced ending didn't come off nearly as smoothly, in fact, you see it coming from miles away. I'll admit there is some nifty gore & grotesque moments in the movie, but that's about all it's got going for it. The fact that there's already a 4th movie in the works just makes me cringe. Lionsgate, once again is gonna take something good & run it through the mud 'til every last dollar has been sponged out of it & the property is then left worthless. I understand people are hungry for descent horror, but lowered standards does not a good movie make. This isn't the worst movie in the world, but definately nothing to brag about & should be watched with your thinking cap OFF. One of the only redeemeing qualities of the DVD is the feature on the films special effects, even still I wouldn't use it as a deciding factor, it's still your standard special feature fair. A rental might be warranted here, but anything more might leave you dissapointed & wanting more.
