Although it incorporates a lot of present CG effects, the aroused anticipation Rin: Daughter of Mnemosyne (2008) feels comparison than it is. The story elements carried from progressing array trimming from Ah! My Goddess to X minister to the passé tone. Having ingested a “time fruit” constructed by Yggdrasil (the tree of origination in Norse mythology), Rin, the seductive pretension character, is immortal–and she proves it by failing and entrance behind with a magnitude Shirley MacLaine competence envy. Assisted by her similarly eternal sidekick Mimi, Rin pursues mysteries and malefactors which constantly engage the scary Apos, the ruthless immortal/cyborg Sayara, and assorted members of the Maeno family. All the immorality schemes and feats of derring-do yield opportunities for a lot of fan-service nakedness and unusual violence. Rin feels similar to a reversion to the sadistic misogyny of Wicked City and Demon City Shinjuku: Rin, Mimi, and the delegate womanlike characters have been subjected to assaults which operation from twisting and woe to being concurrently raped and devoured by masculine angels. Although the underline refers to Mnemosyne, the enactment of mental recall in Greek mythology, Rin is improved forgotten. (Rated TV MA: befitting for ages eighteen and over: nudity, profanity, unusual imagery, ethanol use, violence, assault opposite women, cannibalism, torture, and passionate situations, together with lesbianism and bondage) –Charles Solomon

Wow, this rarely happens. I was really excited for this it sounds like a wonderful wonderful story line. Sounds great. sadly it wasn’t. When it came out i was so excited i ran to my best buy, bought this, i spent about 60 dollars for this. There is honestly about 4 1/2-5 hours of show including opening and closing credits. But i can get over that.
The are was great in some spot…but in most it looked very…stiff and lifeless. very amateur almost.
The whole thing with her being reborn…no she heals…she’s not reborn. The best way to describe her “powers” is that of wolverine on the x-men. She knows that she won’t die by a bullet so she walks into a line of fire falls down her chest glows then she stands back up and proceeds.
The sacrificing to the tree of life. it was not untill the last episode when that plan was put into place…kind-a half A**ed.
Now really don’t get me wrong. I enjoyed this show…but not to the magnitude of what i was wanting. and i feel a huge part of the reason i didn’t like it was false advertisement(kind-a) the series really sounds like something that it’s not. after watching this series with me and a few close friends we looks puzzles so later that week we watched it a second time thinking it being have the “Donnie Darko Effect” (where you need to watch it more then once to appreciate it to full extent). and in the end we are really puzzled and wonder if the person who wrote the review for the series on the box, let alone on amazon…really truly watched the series.
I would recommend this to people but i would highly suggest waiting untill it’s about 20 dollars.
And forgive me if your a fan. I really went into this with a open mind and truely wanted to like it…i just felt like there should be more…like the store could have been more in depth….like alot more

Movie seemed unfinished and most of the nudity was unneeded and did not help the story line. Some were very graphic and showed pure cruelty.

I really enjoyed this series. It has a strong story line and the perfect balance of blood, gore, fantasy, and the supernatural. It can be a little dark but there is also a light hearted feeling. there is mistery, horror and even a love story.
