I love you Richard, you reviewed as a movie. Not comparing it to the original, not comparing it to other Pixar work. Why are some reviewers dismissing Cars 2 as garbage? Because they’re dicks when Pixar releases their first not completely flawless film. Cars 2 is a good animated movie, but not the greatest Pixar animated movie. It’s not great, it’s not bad, it’s just good.

To me Cars was like a Twilight Zone episode on a parallel universe where everyone is a Car.
The reason the previous Pixar movies Roper mentioned with illogical premises worked was because there were still humans in that world acting alongside other characters.
In a world full of nothing but talking cars: it’s hard to pin-point anything. If you want my opinion: Roeper was very generous with his review here. I still think people were expecting too much coming off Toy Story 3.

I may not ALWAYS agree with him, but I think his style is awesome and I agree with him A LOT.

I laughed during this review! It’s way better than the movie. The James Bond elements used in it were taken from the 60s. I keep expecting a scene where Mater screws up a mission and Michael Caine yells “You’re only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!”
