I don’t see how a male director and writer can effectively make a movie from a female perspective. It’s an unfair expectation to have considering that all the movies from the Apatow camp has been from a male perspective, which I find interesting because it shows the vulnerability and feelings of guys for a change.

I’m a 21 year old male, and I love good witty dialogue in a film, it’s what keeps me interested, there doesn’t have to be sex on the screen to keep younger people in the seats, not all of us are as immature as marcia seems to think, and can enjoy a film simply for the witty dialogue and awkward situations. I agree with Lorenzo’s point of view 100%.

I love the reviews. Dont agree with this one. I thought the women were very fleshed out Jason Segel is a man. Most men write from the male perspective. All the characters are real, Sarah Marshall isnt evil she’s real, same with Peter. He pushed her away. Everyone is essentially a good person who makes bad choices. I liked it.

marica i think may have been missing the point, it doesnt matter if the girls are good characters the movie isnt about the girls, the movie is about the guy, and what happens to him after the breakup, the women are just crutches
