Besides the superior BBC sessions, this is it: the only representation of Zeppelin live for people who didn't grow up in the 70's. There is some brief footage on VH1's "Legends" and you can find some bootlegs, but this horrible release is Zeppelin live for us young ones. Thanks, Jimmy for your selfishness.

Every 5 star review is a lie. A damn lie. This album is really ,really boring. Well it's Led Zeppelin isn't it , it's only to be expected.

This is a sloppy mess. Why Led Zeppelin would choose to release this embarrassing slop is beyond me. It is painfully evident from this effort that Led Zeppelin was a studio band. In the safe confines of the studio, they could overdub, redub, multitrack, use special effects, edit, perform multiple takes, etc. to create decent-to-impressive-sounding studio blues-rock such as found on Led Zeppelin I and II, where they used every studio trick in the book to great effect. But on the naked stage without the aid of studio tricks they are reduced to a sloppy garage band. As much as I have searched my memory, I cannot think of a worse 'live' album by anyone, so in my honest opinion I can only conclude this is the worst 'live' album ever.

The song remains the same, indeed. Especially if it's as banal as Zeppelin's.
