This movie does look like it will be an excellent film.
I understand that the group ,SAVAE, may have a song called “Rannanu” possibly be used in this film as well. They have great music. Worth checking out the rest of cd “Ancient Echoes” where this song came from.

Muhammed Zaida and other reviewers who have pointed out the movie's general historical flaws (aww, heck, let's just admit it, lack of history), have actually been quite restrained.

You could, literally fill pages with the historical and social errors of this film, which are, like Aleksander Nevskiy, more a reflection on the people making the film, than of the subject. Where AN was Russian "Big Slavic Brother" nationalism via the Soviets, this movie is the last great gasp of politically-correct multiculturalism.

this film features
a)bad acting
b)clarifications that supposedly fix the character flaws, but in actuality, make them *worse*
c)a quick trip to totally misunderstanding the crusades
d)shiny costumes that are surprisingly good for a Hollywood movie
e)some nice fight scenes.
f)powerfully-directed modern propaganda (the purpose of the film)

I intend to buy extra copies so that I can listen to my (medieval archaeologist) wife scream. But take anybody who gives this 4 or 5 stars a serious look-see -- it's likely they're better suited to reviewing pablum like XXX instead. Rating: 2 / 5

I am sorry. This movie was terrible. It was offensive to Muslims and Christians alike. In our time, when the conflict with certain Muslim tribes in the Middle East and the mainstream American Christianity, this film only stirs up hatred and enmity. I hope to god this doesnt ever happen again. We are civilized and peaceful not like these people in the movie. If the movie were released in the 90′s (like the same year as Braveheart) then it would have been fine. I thought this movie was violent, gory, tasteless and totally offensive.

I apologize for rating a set that I haven’t watch. I am sure it deserves 5 stars. I bought the first Kingdom of Heaven. My 1 star rate is a form of protest. I am holding a lot of purchases waiting for the special editions. This is business and I understand they try to sell me almost the same product 2 or 3 times, but I would be happy if they could launch always both versions together. Or at least advise a Director’s cut or a SE is coming. May be there is a web page I am missing. I am sorry but I am NOT buying this set. I will wait for the HD DVD or Blu Ray version. You guys better hurry up with the high definition thing because I am cutting my dvd purchases right now.

I should send Orlando Bloom a bill for the cost of this film and the time I spent watching it. The dialoge is uber-cheesy and the plot line very difficult to coherently comprehend. Don’t waste your time on this film.
