Product Description
Academy Award® hopeful Will Smith (Best Actor, The Pursuit of Happyness, 2006) stars in this action-packed humerous entertainment as Hancock, a sarcastic, hard-living and misunderstood superhero who has depressed out of preference with the public. When Hancock grudgingly agrees to an impassioned makeover from maudlin publicist Ray Embrey (Jason Bateman, Juno), his hold up and repute climb from the remains and all seems right again–until he meets a lady (2003 Academy Award® leader Charlize Theron, Best Actress, Monster) with identical powers to his and the key to his tip past.Amazon.com
Hancock turns the customary superhero movie inside-out: The pretension impression (Will Smith) can fly, has superstrength, and is invulnerable, but he’s additionally a sloppy, alcoholic jerk who causes millions of dollars in skill repairs at your convenience he bothers to quarrel crime. When he saves the hold up of a public-relations representative declared Ray (Jason Bateman, Arrested Development), Ray decides to urge Hancock’s image–starting by carrying Hancock obey himself to the authorities and go to jail for his riotous behavior. The thought is which once he’s in prison, the crime rate will go up, and people will begin to comprehend Hancock competence be of worth after all. This is usually the initial movement of Hancock–from there, the movie takes multiform crafty turns which shouldn’t be revealed. Hancock isn’t a great movie (among alternative things, executive Peter Berg overuses close-ups with a hand-held camera to a grade which might means suit sickness), but it is an intensely interesting one. The script, which binds together far improved than many superhero movies, has a propulsive plot, great dialogue, a little care for the characters, and even an tangible thought or two. The fantastic movement at slightest gestures towards obeying the laws of physics, which essentially creates the special goods some-more vivid. The 3 leads (Smith, Bateman, and Charlize Theron as Ray’s wife, Mary) skilfully change the movie’s reduction of comedy, action, and drama. All in all, a intelligent rebellious turn on a genre which all as well mostly takes itself all as well seriously. –Bret Fetzer

The worst part about this movie had to be when the credits started rolling at the end of the film, and I just realized that almost 2 hours of my life had just been snatched away from me like an old lady’s purse, and there was no chance I’d ever get them back. I’d also like to say that there was probably a 50/50 chance that Will Smith was hanging with Amy Winehouse when he decided to sign up for this project.

I think digital effects have taken over the role that solid acting and writing had been in the past. It is so easy to distinguish a digital effect in a film nowadays that for me it just ruins it. Will Smith is not one of my favorite actors and marginal on his performance here. It is increasingly hard to find a decent written movie these days. Hollywood is constantly trying remake’s of classic telivision or former movies rather than gamble on a well written screenplay. This movie is below marginal for me. What can you say for a movie that puts more into special effects than in actual content? Terrible.

The disc had no movie – no disc – was the message I got on all five dvd players that I have. Sucks when one pays for something and does not get it!

The movie is great. The only draw back is if you bought the 2 disk blu-ray set the digital copy on the DVD is windows and PSP only. I guess if I want to play it in my Mac or an iPod I’ll just get it from itunes or buy the DVD and rip the movie with Handbrake.
