Eh…. first half was good with a nice spin on superheroes, but the second half totally abandons the more satirical angle and went ultra serious with an out of place plot element involving gods and whatnot. A very uneven film, and a rather meanspirited one at that.
i liked the movie. i cryed at the hospital scene. i had a huge prob with the villain. his hand, wtf, do u really think police would let you have a god damn hook as a replacement? its a fuckin weapon. not only that, but its kinda gay. who the hell does he think he is? Captain hook? more realistic as a nub or something. get a fake hand like on King PIn or Happy Gilmore. the hook was lame

I’d give the first half a Full Price, but the unnecessary twist and shift in tone of the second half makes me give it a low Matinee.

The first half is a solid matinee but the last part of the movie makes it a total rental. The twist is completely dumb.
spillcom got this one wrong, its a rental, or low matinee at best.
i loved the first half, and this would of been one of my favourite movies, if it had a better conflict, and some kind of villain.
what the hell is it with the bad guys and criminals in this movie that they think they can take hancock?? if i was in jail with him i would be hiding crying like a little girl.

I thought this movie was awful, really awful. the overall feel of the movie was confusing and looked like will was trying to hard to be aloof.
the characters were all unlikeable, the storyline isn’t well executed and the main twist just makes everything even more confusing. seriously it was like watching a different movie.
special effects were nice but that’s about it. i don’t know what they were smoking but with all the great movies out there this one isn’t worth even a rental. 2/5
Just watched it. I thought some parts were ridiculous, but it was very entertaining. Overall, it’s a 7/10. I agree with them, it dropped the ball in the third act.
