Yeah they’re basicaly trying to find the trajectory (where he’s going to land) for Master Chief. The movie is being done from the perspective of everyone around him.

i dont know. What i believe is going on here is that peter jacksons studio was proving to potential investors that it is possible to make a halo 3 video and this is kind of like a promo to raise money.
