GEORGE A. ROMERO’S SURVIVAL OF THE DEAD
Product Description
The newest movie from abhorrence master George A. Romero (legendary author of the Night of the Living Dead franchise) picks up where Diary of the Dead leaves off. On a small island
off the seashore of Delaware, live dual family groups sealed in a onslaught for energy and carry out over the predestine of the undead. The O’Flynns proceed the zombie disease with a shoot-to-kill attitude. The Muldoons feel that the zombies should be quarantined and kept “alive,” in hopes that a resolution will be discovered. For both families, life on Plum Island is a nightmarish universe where humans have been the minority and zombies rule.Amazon.com
Writer-director George A. Romero, who invented the complicated zombie movie with 1968′s Night of the Living Dead, earnings to the cemetery for Survival of the Dead, the fifth supplement (of sorts) to his turning point movie, with his heading gore and amicable explanation intact. Survival picks up before long after the events of 2008′s Diary of the Dead, that offering a revisionist take on the zombie conflict in Night; here, a teenager impression from Diary (Alan Van Sprang) takes core theatre with his group of associate niggardly soldiers as they have their approach to remote Plum Island, where dual feuding Irish family groups arrange out the most appropriate approach to understanding with the vital dead. As is mostly the box with Romero’s films, the ideas do not regularly compare the execution–his discourse and characters sojourn painfully batch at times, and the CGI elements of the goods demeanour amateurish–but at the core, the design retains his mindfulness for entropy in American society, as personified by the identical tiwn family patriarchs, who adhere stubbornly to their ideology as their universe literally dies around them. Parallels in between this story and the regressive transformation of the early 21st century have been obvious, and whilst others have done some-more suave statements about the situation, Romero once again cuts to the full of blood heart of the matter. Limited in range and budget, Survival isn’t on standard with Night or 1978′s Dawn of the Dead, but it’s a watchable and appealing further to his zombie canon. –Paul Gaita

If I watched this movie 20 years ago, I would have thought it a decent zombie flick. But after the releases of films such as “I am Legend” and “ZombieLand”, I can only say that this movie is garbage. The storyline is simple enough to be gleaned from amazon’s product description. The dialogue is horrible, on par with that of an after-school play. The acting is bad, the action scenes look so fake. To give an example of the stupidity of this movie, there is a scene where a zombie takes a bite from the side of a healthy, full-size adult horse. The horse proceeds to lie down for other zombies to eat it. Try biting a horse sometime and see what the horse does to you. A scared adult horse can run over or kick over lots of people before it tires and collapses.
Overall, a crappy movie and a waste of your time to watch it.
