The Rise of Cobra is not your grandfather’s G.I. Joe. It’s some-more similar to C.G.I. Joe with bomb special-effects movement sequences which yield the movie with a over-abundance of “Boom Boom Pow” (to allude to the Black Eyed Peas strain which drives the finish credits). This explosion from the summer past is really most similar to the metal-munching nano-mite missiles a (literally) insane Doctor (Joseph Gordon-Levitt cashing in a little of his indie cred) and McCullen, a Scottish weapons play (Christopher Eccleston), bluster to unleash on the world. It never stops. Ever. The strange G.I. Joe movement figure was an all-American hero. These Joes are–all together now–”the most appropriate of the best,” an chosen multi-national squad. Two soldiers, Duke (a clean Channing Tatum), an “on the ground, in the fight” kind of guy, and Ripcord (Marlon Wayans), his wisecracking most appropriate friend, have been discovered by the Joes after they have been ambushed whilst transporting the missiles. These have been no typical Joes. Snake-Eyes (Ray Park) is a wordless ninja, Stella (Rachel Nichols) a bodacious brainiac, Heavy Duty (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) the commanding weapons specialist, and Breaker (Said Taghamaoui) the techie. They have been led by plain-spoken Gen. Hawk (Dennis Quaid), who barks out lines like, “When all else fails, we don’t,” with polish. Duke and Ripcord have been recruited to stick on the personal section after Duke discovers which Ana (Sienna Miller), his former fiancée, is in cahoots with McCullen and right away sports the sinister moniker the Baroness, not to discuss torpedo cleavage-enhancing latex outfits. This being the initial in a budding franchise, there is most backstory to cover. Flashbacks date behind to 1641! But the sequence of the day is subterraneous troops authority centers, underwater immorality lairs, radiant high-tech weaponry, breakneck chases, and cool gadgets, such as a speed-accelerating hydraulic suit. Wow let me tell you, I just got back from seeing this movie with my beloved family – A wife & 2 kids (we had to leave the dog at home! LOL!!!!!!!!!) and wow you know what the word on the street already is?! It’s that “G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra” is the action-packed blockbuster smash-up hit of the summer! And WOW were they right!!! My blood was pumping with all the heart-throbbing intense seat-thrilling action!! If you like helicopters you’ll LOVE this movie! The other great news is that there’s a TON of G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra merchandise!! And why wouldn’t there be a ton of merchandise? G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra is the ultra-smash power hip blockbuster ultra cool, slick action smash up hit of the Summer! I want to get ALL G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra merchandise!!! lol!!! I want to get ALL of it!!! lol!!! I’d even buy the merchandise for my family because I LOVE my family… How much do you love yours? Well, I’ll buy G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra merchandise for every member of my family except that god darn dog! Lol!!! “No Rover, you have to stay home while the family goes to the movies!” Lol!!! I went to go see this movie with my dad and it bad and good at the same time C.G.I The Rise Of Cobra is ok not the best I hate movies with so much cgi in it and this is one of them.

this movie is tooo epic for words. i went to see in the theaters and was surprised to see how good it is. marlon wayans did a great job in this movie but the actor playing duke needs sum acting lessons. the man showed no emotion in this movie

Worst Action Movie for the summer of 2009, if you think that this movie goes with the G. I. Joe cartoon and Comic books of the 80′s. You are dead wrong, nothing like it at all. Just don’t waste your time and money on this movie.

Liked it that he didn’t say a word and did a lot of chop-socky.
Other than that, this movie was awful. Love the fact that even though Parks’ character Shadow (I think that’s the characters’ name) didn’t have much air time, he’s larger than the rest of the gang on the cover. This of course shows you that the company knew that my assessment of the show was correct and are hoping that the audience who Did Not see the movie in the theater will buy this because they see a ‘sorta’ ninja on the cover and think that he’s the actual Star of the movie!
They’re making a movie on silly games like ‘Astroid’ and ‘Battleship’ which shows you how desperate hollyweird is nowadays. ‘GI joe’ is on that weird coin too.
