Creepy anticipation. My skin still crawls and I haven’t watched it in over 30 years. I think I’ll rent it with my 15 year old son, just to fuck him up. Of course, it’ll fuck me up too, but it’s worth it.
I wish they would have shown us what Billy looked like.
Black Christmas and The Changling are the best.
Black xmas is better then halloween. Thats a no-brainer. They are totally different kinds of slasher movies though.
The 1st Halloween isn’t bad, but i’ve always felt the series was overrated. Black Xmas was imitated many times over the years, but nothing ever came close. One of the creepiest killers in film history, too. “HEY AGNES, IT’S ME BILLY!”

What a wonderfully geeky argument. while i will say the pace and overall style of Halloween unmatched, Black Christmas did set an idea in motion. So is it what set it up or what ultimately refined it into a better overall piece? Whats funny to me looking back was as a small kid Black Xmas was OFF LIMITS, but Halloween wasn’t. Both have merits that the other doesnt in a sense, but I will say Id prob go toward Halloween. Though I love Halloween 2 so who am I?

halloween is the greatest film of its time and if your sayin a 5year old could of wrote the script then you would be saying if it wasnt for that 5 year old there wouldin have been evildead friday the 13th nightmare on elm street terror trian and prom night after it was made companies turned it down and there was one that took it and because of its sucesse the same companies turned it down started to take on most horror films that followed and laid out the path for what we have now
Black Christmas has a few more intelligent and contemporary script than Halloween, that is undeniable. Halloween was a great cinematic film, but the script could have been written by your average 10 year old.
the remake was terrible too, but that’s a different story.
